Timberland
Founded by Nathan Schwartz in the 50’s, Timberland has produced high quality and fashion boots, shoes and clothing for over 50 years. It wasn’t until 1973 that the Schwartz family developed the Timberland name and three years after that their first advertising campaign was unleashed. Producing boots and footwear that were glued, not sewed proved to be a big hit especially the waterproof wear. As well as producing fashion conscious footwear, Timberland produced its first line of clothing in 1988 after going international a few years earlier.
Fast forwarding onto today, Timberland manufacture an extremely diverse range of products, particularly footwear that is worn as everyday casuals or construction work wear and recently the brand was awarded with a title in Fast Company magazine's annual Most Innovative Companies 2010.
